Bailey Guffin

Bailey Guffin is in his third year as the head coach of the Sul Ross State men's soccer team.  He is 12-24-14 and is the all-time winningest coach in program history.

In 2025, Guffin continued to keep the Lobos moving forward.  SRSU had an 8-game undefeated streak (longest in men's or women's history), set 12 individual and team school records including goals (21), assists (15), points (57) and shutouts (9) and had three Lone Star Conference Players of the Week.

In addition, Guffin saw Benjamin Avilles earn numerous honor - LSC First Team, LSC Goalkeeper of the Year, LSC All-Academic and the first men's player to make the All-Division II CAA South Central Regional.  The Lobos had 14 Lone Star Conference Commissioners Honor Roll selections and were the only men's soccer team in the LSC to earn a perfect 100 ASR score.

In 2024, the Lobos had a dramatic turnaround going from 1-10-5 to 6-9-2.  The team lost five games by two goals or less and had the first Lone Star Conference Player of the Week for men's or women's soccer.

Guffin has coached three all-conference selections and seen 24 of his players earned all-conference academic honors.

Gufin was the head men's soccer coach at Oklahoma Panhandle State (2022) where he sported a 4-8-1 record.

He spent the previous two years at OPSU as the assistant coach of the men's soccer program. OPSU received votes in the national poll during the 2021 season as it went 10-3-3 overall.

During the 2021 campaign, OPSU's Liam Pritchard was tabbed as an All-American after scoring a team-best nine goals. 

Guffin served as a graduate assistant at West Virginia where he earned his bachelors and master's degrees in 2019 and 2021, respectively.

Guffin also interned with professional clubs D.C. United and West Ham United F.C.
